Misleading Product from Macys Sold by Spreetail
I recently purchased the 2,150 GPH 16" Krystal Clear Saltwater System and Sand Filter Pump from Macy’s, which was listed as new on their website. However, the product I received was far from new and not as expected. The pump was mostly disassembled and missing several key parts. It was clear this was a used or damaged product, not the new, fully functional item I had anticipated. To make matters worse, upon reviewing the invoice and product description, there was no mention the product was anything other than new. I reached out to Spreetail, the seller, and they informed me that the product was actually "non-working for parts only," which was never disclosed during the purchase. They also told me that if I wanted to return it, I would be responsible for the return shipping cost and considering this product weighs 65 lbs, that would be an expensive hassle on

2 years and it's failing?
Got 2 years use and now the pump shuts off and resets every 10 seconds. Of course this happens a couple months after my warranty is up. What a rip off. I kept it stored in my climate controlled garage during winter. Never really over used it with free pump mode or boost mode. And still just get 2 years. Some terrible manufacturing just to rip off customers and get more money.

Stopped worked after 4 month
I bought this filter in Latvia at the DEPO store. It didn't even last one summer. In the warranty repair, they said there was sand inside (even though it’s a sand filter) and hair (since people swim in the pool). They also referred to the technical documentation, claiming that the filter was used against the regulations—meaning outdoors. Never mind that this filter is meant for an outdoor pool. It turns out that the filter can only be used indoors or under a shelter, where it won’t be exposed to rain, pool splashes, or anything similar. You can also see in other comments that people had the same problem as I did—it would regularly shut off and eventually stopped working completely. It seems that the automation doesn’t function properly. In short, if this filter breaks after one summer, the warranty will be completely useless, as there are plenty of reference points for why they won’t repair it under warranty. In the end, I didn’t even understand what the real issue was—whether it was the sand in the filter or the fact that water got into it. It seems like they wrote down every possible excuse just to avoid repairing it.

Terrible product, do not buy! Run the other way!!!
Bought the sand filter and saltwater system 14 months ago and used for 4 months when the electrode failed. Conveniently, this single part only has a 1 year warranty, and is 2/3 the cost of the whole system. Certainly will be the last piece of Intex equipment I buy. If you’re thinking about an Intex saltwater system, don’t. Run the other way!

Only lasts one year
Quality is terrible. I've had to replace the control module/motor twice after one year each. the motor works fine, but the module that controls the salt processing fails far too quickly. My pump is in a pump house and out of the weather, but that doesn't seem to matter. When it works -its great, but doesn't last

This was an upgrade to the pump I received with my pool. More powerful crystal clear water & easy to use. Love it fun in the sun
