Hi John, Thanks for reaching out! Our lip balms are not a “visual fill." The size stated on the package is based on the net weight of the product put inside the tube. During production, we leave ample room between the where the product settles and where the tube is crimped so we get a strong crimp that doesn’t pop when squeezed. If the product is overfilled and too close to the crimp area, the crimp won’t hold. Please know that every tube is weighed as it comes off the line to ensure that it is within spec.
