Bought exactly 18 months ago. Today, tried turning it on and no power whatsoever. Tried manual power button after changing remote batteries with no luck. It just stopped working. Junk. Save your money.

Smooth bass
The bass is too smooth and soft not too loud not too less perfect for watching action movie, Playing music and Playing games. Don't think just buy best product you can get in this price range

I'd Stay Away
Soundbar has very tinny sound, no mid-range. Subwoofer over-powers everything. Disabling Smart mode does not help hearing voices at all. Music sounds better if you blast it, but I cannot do that where I live. This product could really use an EQ.

Thank you for your feedback. To isolate the issue with your JBL Bar 2.1 Deep Bass (MK2), please try performing a power cycle. To do this, unplug both the soundbar and the TV. This will reset the devices and clear any temporary issues that might be causing problems. Check your TV's settings and change the digital output audio format to PCM or Dolby Digital. Strong Improvement!
We were becoming aware that we were missing a lot of dialogue when watching movies or interviews on our TV. We got this JBL speaker system because we wanted to amplify and clarify the sound. The improvement was immediate and very noticeable. The sound is projected toward the viewers and angled to surround them. Adding the bass allows a much better range in voices as well as music. The quality of sound is clearer and easier to hear and understand.
