I won't hold a charge. Goes dead in 5 minutes. I paid to much for this to be bad already.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We recommend restarting the Bluetooth connection by removing the name 'JBL Flip 5' from your device's Bluetooth list and reconnecting it again. Try connecting the unit to another device or reset it by pressing and holding the volume + and play buttons until the speaker shuts off. Had one and left it in the cart. So I bought 2 new ones for the price of one and they were not even close to the JBL. It sounds so much better and charge lasts longer than other brands.

It does have good features and had a good sound
I bought this a year ago and didn't use it a lot so the other day I got it out to use in yard to cook out had a full charge but would not play a sound tried the reset still not a sound so I don't know what happened while it sat in the closet on the shelf but it wasn't good and it never got wet or anything I don't know if I would recommend anyone buying this speaker

Thanks for your feedback. Here are some troubleshooting steps that might help isolate the issue with your JBL Flip 5. If the feedback tone is not audible, proceed to perform a reset. If the feedback tone is audible, do the following. First, try connecting to a different source to see if it fixes the problem and to determine if the source device (Phone, iPad, Computer, etc) is the problem. Next, forget/unpair the speaker on your device, then perform manual pairing. Last is reset, turn on the speaker, then press and hold "Volume +" and "Play" for more than 3 seconds. The speaker will turn off, and reboot to factory default. You may need to 'forget' the speaker in Bluetooth settings on your phone/tablet in order to pair it again. Note: RESET will wipe all previous settings and pairings, so it will be necessary to pair your unit with your devices again. If the issue remains, please contact us.
dont use as computer speaker
works great if your using it for music if your using for a speaker for you computer there is a 1 second delay so you cant use it for a computer speaker its very annoying

Bluetooth has broken after only a year of use!
After a little over a year of use, the bluetooth no longer works. It powers on and off normally with all the usual sounds but when on, only the power button lights up, the bluetooth button neither lights up nor works at all. I've tried all the different types of restarts and combinations of button pressing to no avail. From what I've seen online is that there isn't much of a fix but maybe I haven't looked hard enough.
