Color extremely different on website

The color of the dress on the website was listed as Violet. It showed the dress color as a beautiful bright pinkish color. I ordered the dress in 2 different sizes, The first dress was delivered and when I opened it I thought the wrong dress had been sent. I looked at the tag and it had VIO (violet) so it was the right dress. I waited for the second dress to be delivered hoping the tag on the first one was wrong and that the 2nd dress would be the color shown on the website. It was the same. The color is not anywhere close to what was shown on the website. The dress is actually a very dusty, dull, light grayish purple. I ordered the dress for my grandson's summer wedding. I am so disappointed in the extreme difference between the website color and the actual color.
