As the picture shows, you can definitely drain food straight from the pot without any problems. Love the simple ease of this large scoop!

    Great Scooper

This thing is giant and works great for shopping items from water. It is sturdy and does not get flexible from the heat of boiling water like some plastic utensils do. It is just big and bulky to store in the kitchen, but oh well it is totally worth dealing with because this is a useful item.

    Love!

This large scoop was perfect for scooping out French fries and fried chicken winglets. It drains oil well. This scoop don’t melt if left in oil to long like other brands I own. I will buy again.

    Great scoop!

Nice big draining scoop, just what I wanted! Perfect for when you don't want to pour everything out into a colander. Tough material. Very happy with this purchase.
