Love the combo deal

Both work great and a good combo deal. Foe some reason, I expected the grater to be a bit smaller even though it us the same size as the mandolin in the photos.

The mandoline is very well

The mandoline is very well designed. In the past I have cut myself on these and I threw my old ones out, but I have used this several times and set for different thicknesses without a problem. I haven’t used the grater yet- it’s early days.

DISAPPOINTING

1.Understandably perhaps the grater has too little surface area of either coarse or fine to deliver an appropriate quantity. It took me nearly 10 minutes to get 2 tablespoons of parmesan, much worse than my old microplane. 2. The mandoline is just as terrifying in use as my old Zeiss full-sized one : it came with no instructions and the website video increased my dread of injury rather than the opposite when I tried to use it. Perhaps I need a butcher's chain mail glove...
