Disappointing purchase

I was expecting a high quality container, and even though it is glass, the metal part has that strange finish that has finger marks visible after you touch it, so it never looks clean.

Great Canister!

This canister is very attractive for leaving on the counter or on a pantry shelf. I filled it up with ground coffee and keep it in my coffee station in a corner on my counter. I love this container so much! It keeps my coffee so fresh and I can smell it as soon as I open the container. I wish the inside well was completely open and not a cylinder, but I think maybe this design has something to do with how sealed it keeps the contents and it definitely is not a breaking point for me. The outside surface is smooth, so if you are into labeling, this container would take a label really well. I cannot say enough good things about this item!
