This lamp is simply awesome. Very elegant and trendy, yet simple. The lamp illuminates the entire room with a moderately bright light. I use it in my bedroom and it matches well with my button bed & platinum colored chest. Great buy.
Not as pictured
I fell in love with these lamps from the way they were pictured on line because of the taupe and blue color of the tassel on the shade. How perfect, so I thought. When I received the lamp, the tassel was a yellow & blue-green. It clashed with my curtains and bedding. Also, I bought 2 lamps. I realize there are unique variations found in natural stones; however, the colors of the onyx were completely different. One was very white and the other more of a yellowish-amber. They did not match or blend very well. I am disappointed with the overall quality of these lamps, as well. The composition of the lamps seemed to be chintzy for the price. They would be nicer if made with actual metal.
Very Elegant !
I purchased it for my mantle on my fireplace, it goes perfectly with my candlesticks and mantle clock. The shade is just right. I thought it might be too high and would reflect glare when seated at the dining table but it doesn't at all. The whole look is gorgeous.
Just a few issues with the lamps.
I'm a fan of Kathy Ireland's lamps! This is my second time purchasing her lamps. I bought 2 this time. The lamps are 2 different heights...34" & 35". The tassels are frizzy and the color of the tassels look so different than the colors in the lamp. There are 2 tones in the tassels, but one of the tones is a very yellow gold. Nothing on this lamp is yellow gold. All the colors on the lamp are taupe and antique bronze. And one finial is chipped I'm hoping Macy's will send a replacement. Other than that, the lamps are pretty. They look more expensive than they are. I'm including photos of the problems.

Nice!
I was looking for a lamp such as this one for a while now. I wanted something that didn't take up the entire night stand, and with a pull chain and was lucky that The Ireland collection had it although, it looks easy to tilt or fall over believe me it's very sturdy and weighted enough. I gave it 4 stars because one of the shades had slight wrinkle which I'm sure could have been steamed out with a hand held steamer had I done that..hahah! Over all it's a nice lamp. Wish I could find curtains to match my bedding though.
