the whole tote, it was more like a cheap knock off of a leather tote. why would you use such crappy material?

good straps hard to find on a tote
    May 30, 2018

This bags seems to be very well-made, and it has wider straps than nearly every tote I've found, which is much more comfortable when it's loaded up. Another plus is that they are long enough to stay well on my shoulder. I had hoped to use this to replace a large everyday bag I have that was originally designed as a laptop tote, but this one doesn't have the additional zippered divider in it that my first one does. There is plenty of room to carry a lot in here, but most thing will simply fall to the bottom and have to be dug out. Drawback: besides not being sure the interior design will work for me, the inside color is light tan and will show dirt fast. I would have preferred something lighter than black, but not this light. I'm not sure if I can describe the inside zippered pocket well. Many bags have these on one side of the interior, which is where I usually stash my registration and auto insurance information. Rather than being attached directly to the side of the interior, it's on a piece of fabric that itself separates from the bag's interior, so that you could slide a few papers down behind it. Also, this is definitely a good-sized tote bag. I have seen other bags advertised as totes by Macy's that weren't much different than a normal size purse. It's hard to give a straight yes or no recommendation for this. If you want it for a briefcase-type laptop carrier, it's probably a good choice. I have yet to make up my mind if it will work for me.
