Wanted to love it

I wanted to love this product, especially since I know how popular it is. But no matter how I try to apply it, it feels so heavy on my skin and does not absorb in well! I have a huge bottle to go through and I hate it. Love everything else I’ve tried from Kiehl’s but this is a hard no for me.

We hear your frustration and love that you enjoy so many other Kiehl's favorites, though we are so sorry that our Midnight Recovery Concentrate felt too heavy and wouldn't absorb comfortably. Because this legendary night oil is a highly concentrated blend of botanical oils like squalane and lavender, using more than two or three drops can easily overload the skin and leave a heavy surface residue. A wonderful tip to help your bottle absorb effortlessly into a weightless, velvety finish is to warm just two single drops between your palms, gently press your hands onto clean, damp skin after cleansing, and let the moisture help draw the botanical oils deep into your skin overnight.

Highly Recommend

I must say, this is one of my very favorite products. It feels luxurious without being greasy. At first it feels as though it won’t completely absorb but it does. I notice a visible difference in the mornings when I’ve forgotten to apply at night.

I love the product but bad packaging

I have been using Midnight Recovery oil for many many years and do love the product. I do not understand why there is a glass dropper for application. Interesting you asked me to write a review as my dropper broke inside the bottle recently. Over the years this is the 2nd time it has happened, and I end up throwing away at least half a bottle both times because there are glass particles in the remaining oil. I always get the 3.4oz so that is quite a waste. I would have given 5 stars if it were not for this issue.
