Amazing
The KitchenAid Semi-Automatic Espresso Machine with Burr Grinder is stylish, sturdy, and delivers rich espresso with consistent grinding and excellent milk frothing. It heats up fast and feels café-quality, though dialing in the grind and dose takes some practice. Great for home-baristas who enjoy the craft.

The very first cup was heavenly!
This machine is so beautiful right out of the box that I didn’t even want to use it and dirty it up. Everything was so carefully packaged that it was perfect from top to bottom. For context: his is my first espresso machine and I am not nor have I ever been a barista. It took a bit for me to set up but the online tutorial was immensely helpful. My first latte was SO good. So smooth and delicious that I didn’t have to add a thing to it. I had no idea I could make coffee that tasted like that at home. It was better than my normal Starbucks. There are lots of customizations like temperature, grind, etc. I’m not familiar enough to know what the changes do yet, but again, the tutorial was so helpful. The one thing I haven’t figured out is the pressure gauge. It doesn’t move at all. I’m not sure if it’s broken or user error but I haven’t figured it out yet. I feel so fancy with this machine and it makes me want to learn how to make ALL the yummy drinks. I love it!!!

Who needs the coffee shop?
I received this product in exchange for my honest feedback. With the Kitchenaid Semi Automatic Espresso Machine featuring a Burr Grinder, you can create coffee shop-quaility beverages right in the comfort of your own home. Purchase high-quality whole-bean espresso, place it in the bean hopper, follow the provided instructions and you're all set to brew one of the finest cups of espresso. It's user-friendly, operates quietly, and has a sleek design that looks fantastic on a countertop ir coffee bar. The adjustable steam wand quickly heats milk, transforming any cup of espresso into a delightful, creamy latte, cortado, macchiato, or your preferred espresso drink. The possibilities are endless. Cleaning is a breeze with easily removable parts. My only drawback is that the portafilter is primarily made of plastic which raises concerns about its durability. However, all other parts are well-constructed. Whether your a seasoned barista or a beginner in the world of espresso, the Kitchenaid Espresso machine enables you to craft cafe-quality drinks at home.

Coffee Shop quality at home!
If you’ve never used a machine like this, it can honestly be a little intimidating at first. There is a bit of a learning curve but I have gotten the hang of it now. The instructional videos on their website are extremely helpful! I also reference the user manual. You freshly grind your espresso beans with the burr grinder before you brew. Thie machine comes with four filter baskets for the ground coffee. You can adjust the grind size but I have stuck with the suggested level on the website for double shot brews. You can also do a single shot. After you grind your bean you press the coffee down with the tamper that is included. When you brew the espresso you have a choice of low, medium, or high temperature. I like my coffee extra hot so I use it on high. Also the machine heats up very quickly. And both the grinding and brewing are a bit loud. There is a steam wand to heat up and froth milk. You put the toggle just under the surface of the milk in the pitcher to froth it. The longer it goes the more foamy the milk gets. If you just want to heat up your milk put the toggle further down into the milk. I’ve don’e this with vanilla almond milk for my lattes I’ve made. I’ve also frothed a combo of almond milk and a flavored creamer. I haven’t mastered milk foam art at all but I’ll keep at it. This came with a recipe book that tells you how to make different drinks. I’ve made my fiancée Americanos and then lattes and cappuccino’s for myself. They taste like they came from a coffee shop. We are extremely happy with this machine!! Aside from the high quality coffees, it looks beautiful in our kitchen. The house we are going to move into will have a coffee bar area and this will be absolutely perfect for that!

Great enthusiast machine
I'm used to a very simple machine, so transitioning to this was a learning experience. The provided guides helped a lot though and it helped me get used to the machine pretty quickly. The added accessories are all great quality with a nice heft to them, nothing feels cheap. I love the integrated grinder; I always got annoyed making coffee with my old machine because i would always run out of grinds, but with this I can just simply grind some more with little effort, without having to use a food processor. The customization for the brew is great, you can really fine tune how you want your coffee to come out. I usually don't use the steaming wand but I tried it a couple times with this and it worked great. One of the biggest pros of this machine is how quite it is. Compared to my cheap, small machine, this is so much quieter, which would come in really handy if you got other people at home that may still be asleep. Overall this is an amazing machine for someone who takes their coffee drinking experience seriously. I haven't had a cup of coffee from this machine that I was disappointed with. I highly recommend this if you're in the market for a new machine.

Overall a great low/mid-tier espresso machine!
I received this machine in exchange for my honest review! I’m a big coffee person and former barista, so I was super excited to try this espresso machine. It feels well built and hefty and also looks nice. The machine I received had some sort of leak at the connection between the water reservoir and the intake which is apparently not uncommon, but kitchenaid remedied the issue. I appreciate that it has a very customizable build in grinder. It’s also nice that the hopper is removable so you get multiple and switch out beans ex one for caffeinated and one for decaf. The machine itself is very intuitive and doesn’t take much dialing in to get a decent shot of espresso. It’s also pretty quiet! Overall I think this machine is very user-friendly while still allowing quite a bit of control over the grinding process. The only changes I could think of appreciating would be allowing more customization for the shot pulling time and a better tamper. It’s easy to buy a better tamper, but it would be nice if the included one was a bit better and less cumbersome. I really like this machine and I think it’s a great low/mid range entry level option for anyone wanting to get into espresso.
