Love these attachments!

Love these attachments! I was worried about how well they would hold up and if they would really work because the way they attached to the stand mixer did not look very sturdy. But everything works great! I don’t use the attachments very often, maybe once every other month, but I’ve been using them for over five years now and they still work great. It‘s also a lot easier to clean than using my food processor for shredding/slicing things. The only thing I do not like is that the shredded food flings out all over the place if you use a higher speed. I have to hold my mixing bowl right at the opening of the shredder to catch everything with one hand, while feeding the item I want to shred with the other. Sometimes I just use a big mixing bowl with high sides. And because they attach as an extension to the stand mixer, you need a lot of counter space for the stand and the bowl. Also, the shredded food will sometimes pack inside the shredder if I’m not paying attention. I have to use a thin spatula to keep the shredded foods moving sometimes. Still, I love these attachments!

Doesn’t last, sadly

After two years, the bowl is no longer freezing the ice cream. I used it successfully a bunch of times and now it’s not working. There is no damage that I can see, and I hear liquid in the bowl when I shake it. My freezer is -5°F. I called KitchenAid and they said I needed a new one, but didn’t offer any reason for it not working, nor any guidance on how to keep this from happening again.

Great addition to my KitchenAid repertoire

I purchased this in November and have used it every fortnight since. It has been a game changer. Our quality of meat mince seems to taste so much better. I like to combine pork and beef using a 1:2 ratio. The underlying difference is that I know what has gone into the mince prepared; needless to say no additives are added which is good for my family. Love it. Ease of cleaning is an added bonus as is the stainless steel makeup. Thank you Kitchen Aid.

A game changer...

This is a wonderful piece of technology. I love that I did not need another appliance but rather, making new use of one already owned. I previously used an older style pasta making machine; bolting onto table etc... so much more laborious. Using the KitchenAid was so much easier and far more professional results. Very pleased indeed.

Features and performance as per dicumented,

The grinder and accessories functio as expected, and intergrate perfectly with the mixer, quality is good and priduct robust. Delivery was rapid and timely with without issue. Any additional accessorues to be purchased will be via the Kitchenaid website direct based on current experience.
