[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off – I know this is a men’s watch (I’m a woman), but I ordered it because I love the way a larger watch face looks on my wrist – so I frequently purchase men’s watches instead of women’s. I absolutely love the green – it’s a great pop of color and adds a fun element to my outfit. I think it looks particularly cool with a white button down (rolled up sleeves) and jeans. I also have a navy dress that it’s so cute with. The rubber band is comfortable and it doesn’t slide around on my wrist when I wear it. I also like the white contrast of the watch hands, which makes it easy to quickly glance down and read the time. I’ve had this watch for about a month, and so far – I can’t think of any drawbacks. It would be a great birthday, holiday or graduation gift for a man or woman.

Clean design

Style over function
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First--this is a classically styled watch whose design should prove fairly timeless. Very simple, clean lines that provide a snappy accent to your overall outfit. The watch band is a soft silicone-feeling material that is comfortable and uses the traditional clasp and buckle to secure it on the wrist. The watch hands have a white accent which make them easy to see. The watch face is minimalist, with no numbers--just indentations on the face at each hour position. If you're just learning to tell time on an analog clock, this is not for you. :) The Lacoste brand is noticeable, but not garishly large and does not draw undue attention--but the branding is very obvious and clear. Functionally--it tells time. It also features a stopwatch, with the upper dial doing a full rotation every two (!) seconds. This is rather unconventional, but I suppose it is so you can make roughly 1/4 second delineations fairly easily with a glance. The lower dial advances every second. The reason I claim limited functionality is that the dials rest at the "4:30" position, which along with hard-to-read markings makes it practically useless for actually keeping any measurements or benchmarking. Sure, the dials advance reliably, but without the traditional "12:00" reset positions, it takes real effort to determine how much time the chronograph has measured. The box included a brand booklet, but lacked any specific instructions--while the buttons for the chronograph are straightforward (upper button start/stop, lower button reset), can the dials be repositioned to reset at 12:00? Don't know. Bottom line--buy this watch for the looks, not the stopwatch. And you will be happy.

Brand over function
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fit and form of the watch are nice. It sits well on the wrist and isn’t too heavy. The strap is comfortable. But unfortunately, this is where the pros end. The watch is a nice color, but the indented numeral markings on the face are very hard to see, even in direct sunlight. The watch face is made of a single piece of molded plastic and looks cheap. The watch appears to keep time without any problems. But none of the hands line up with the 12 o’clock position. They reach the top a fraction to the left. This means the watch appears to tick just before 12 o’clock. There are no instructions with the watch, and no indication as to what the ‘chronographic’ dials are supposed to indicate. Pushing the top button starts a stopwatch-type function. The top chrono dial indicates milliseconds and the bottom chrono dial indicates seconds. As with the main clock dial, the chrono dial in the 9 o’clock position ticks to indicate a minute, before the bottom chrono dial has finished a full rotation. It is also very hard to reset the three dials back to the 12 o’clock position. Lastly, there is no date indication. This watch has clearly not been designed by a watch maker. If you’re looking for, and expecting, a true chronographic watch, this is not for you. This is a good example of fashion over function. From a distance, it’s very nice, and has a clear Lacoste symbol where the date indicator would be. Probably not the best choice for a watch lover though. Such a shame, I'm usually an avid Lacoste fan, but I'll just stick to their clothing and home goods from now on

Classy and simple
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm very pleased with the Lacoste men's watch. It's a very simple and understated watch that despite being so simple, manages to stand out. The green pop of color gives it a vibrant and edge vibe, while staying classy. It comes in a very elegant package; a simple cardboard white box with the watch surrounding a navy blue faux leather pillow emblazoned with the lacoste logo. It's the perfect gift for any man who likes watches. Even though it's elegant and high quality, it was made to be worn. The silicone strap is durable and waterproof making it a perfect everyday watch. The design is understated, but does it's job. My husband loved this watch and has been wearing it daily. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a simple, but elegant watch made by a company you can trust.
