Sizing not consistent
I bought this in two colors. The navy/green plaid fits fine. The olive plaid is more slim cut. I'm guessing they were made in different factories. But sadly I'll have to return the olive.

Do not recommend-if you wish to have a true flannel shirt. Very disappointing - thin.

Comfortable easy wear shirt
Love the colour. Originally bought a medium as I’m a size 14 but felt it was too baggy so re-ordered in small and it’s a perfect fit & suits my shape much better. Material isn’t very thick but feels good quality.

Soft and comfortable
I got the sunwashed olive and the ivory/raspberry. The colors are really nice, perfect for fall. The flannel is a bit thinner than my 20 year old version but the fit is less stiff and more comfortable. Normally I always buy XL in Lands End, but the sizing has changed from "XL 16-18" to a "XL 18" and the "fit assistant" kept telling me I should get the 1x. So I bought one of each.For anyone considering between an XL and 1x, the main difference is the 1x has darts. Being it's called a "boyfriend shirt" and didn't see any darts in the photos, I was not expecting this and I'm a bit annoyed. I simply don't fill the chest enough to warrant darts and I wanted a smooth-hanging shirt to wear over long sleeve tees. The quality is what you expect from Lands End and the colors are beautiful. Besides the dart issue the fits are great, shoulder seams and arm length are perfect. Buttons up comfortably over tee shirt with no gaps.

I would not recommend
The quality of this shirt is not good and in comparison to previous flannel shirts from Lands End it is very poor. Its very thin, badly sized and shaped (its not a boyfriend shirt if its shaped) The colour is not as nice as on website.I would return it but have worn it now.

Flimsy material for a flannel shirt
I just bought 3 of these flannel shirts yesterday. I also bought the olive plaid flannel shirt for my husband. Once I washed them I realized that the men’s flannel is definitely a heavier weight than the women’s. Such a disappointment. The women’s flannel is so thin and flimsy. The reason for buying a flannel shirt is for warmth. Why are the women’s flannel shirts so thin? Why not offer a heavier weight flannel? I actually still have a few older Lands End women’s flannel shirts and the difference in the weight of the flannel is remarkable. On the positive side…I love the new patterns and especially appreciate that they don’t have pockets. Hoping that in the future you can use better quality material in your flannel shirts.
