Do not purchase - lamp is manufactured poorly

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. On the unit I purchased, one of the vertical tube pieces would not connect to the tube piece below it because the tube piece had a smaller diameter than the piece below it, and so it cannot be screwed in, and just pops in and out freely. Also, the top piece that holds the shade, when screwed in, does not fit and does not line up horizontally with the piece below it. This product is worthless because of poor manufacturing. In addition, this lamp cannot be returned at a Macy's store
