Pretty but should not be put in a microwave

The colors and the patterns are so pretty. However, the stars have gold accent which should not be put in a microwave. Not sure why the Lenox states they are microwave safe.

Well I have bought the mugs in the past and loved them but.... This time 2 of the 4 were so broken i couldn't believe there was not even a fragile stamp anywhere,....really!! Returned!!!!
