Good Look, But Noticeably Lower Quality
I recently picked up the Levi’s Men’s 541 Athletic Taper-Fit Stretch Jeans from Macy’s. While the fit and style are still on point—the 541 cut remains one of the better options for an athletic build—the overall quality feels like it has taken a step down. The denim doesn’t feel as robust or substantial as previous pairs I’ve owned. Instead of that classic Levi’s durability, the material feels thinner and less structured, almost as if the fabric blend has shifted toward something more lightweight. They still look good, but the confidence that they’ll hold up over time just isn’t there in the same way. If you’re buying strictly for appearance and comfort, they’ll get the job done. But if you’re expecting the long-lasting, rugged feel Levi’s used to deliver, you may notice the difference
Customer Service Complaint
Went to store to try on the Levi’s jeans. I bought two pairs that fit perfectly. I started to take the tags off and noticed one pair had stitching missing on the inside. I returned them to Customer Service and was given a hard time about removing the tags. I had the removed tags with me. I was told that there is a new rule about taking the tags off and returning them. Customer Service told me that they cannot sell them now. Why would you want to sell them when the stitching is missing? If this is the new policy I wlll not be shopping at Macys anymore.

Like a 514
Seemed more like a 514. Not that much taper or athletic fit.

Nice fit
Good pair of jeans. I miss the 531’s, but these will do the job.
