Calf fit but foot runs small!

I wear a 9.5 which gives my toes room to move. I ordered a 9.5W and I could not even zip these up at the foot level. They were nice looking and the calf would have fit but the foot was so tight. They were very narrow in the foot in all directions. I'm not even sure if a 10 would have fit. Sent them back.

Wrong fit/ sizing

The boots were supposed to be wide calf and definitely not sized appropriately. Not only did they nott fit in the calfs but also very tight fit over the top of the foot.

Narrow with a short instep

The boot looks good with nice details, a good heel & a wider calf. But I ordered the first pair 1/2 size bigger than my normal size to allow for socks & arch support insoles. Unfortunately, even 1/2 size bigger was too tight across the toe box & instep. So I returned them & ordered a wide in the full size up. But, even though they’re better in the toe box, they’re still too tight across the instep, so I will be returning them again.
