Item is fine but packaging was torn and open

I am happy with the item. However I do want Macys to be aware that the packaging was torn and open. This did not happen during shipping as there was no damage to the shipping box. This was to be a gift but I cannot give this as a gift in the current condition. Some quality control measures are lacking.
