Disappointing

A little disappointed with this one! You can only put one cup or less of water in the lower chamber so how can it produce 3 cups as advertised. It’s an espresso maker but the coffee it makes is under 3 cups as noted on the box. The gasket inside is plastic, I was looking for a plastic free option.

For a great cup of coffee

Just what it says it is. I'm very pleased with it. I was trying to get a replacement for my Trudeau coffee make of the same sort--they don't make it anymore. I wish they would make this model with a larger capacity: about a US mug of coffee or a little larger.

Beware of Instructions

This three cup coffee pot comes with instructions that suggest you should heat the water before putting it in the bottom of the pot. I tried this and practically burned myself even with a pot holder. A pot holder is too big an clumsy. I ended up having so much trouble getting the top on because you have to hold the bottom in place. When I tried brewing it the water did not rise to the top and I had to throw out the coffee after running cold water over the pot. If you brew you should start with room temperature water or cold in my opinion. It will not be bitter if you stop brewing when the gurgling sound starts. I've done this for years and it works fine.
