Stopped working within 2 years

I bought this watch for my wife. It's been 2 years and 5 months. I just found out that the warranty was for 2 years only. For an expensive watch, I think the warrant should be much more than 2 years. A cheap watch watch works longer than 2 years. I was planning to buy one for myself, but I don't think that will happen. I am disappointed in Macy's and in Longines.
