This seasoned carbon steel pan failed the first night that I used it. The seasoning readily came off. I was pretty disappointed. I have since reseasoned it several times. Per initial directions, I cook some fatty meat in it . Ugh. I can tell you that it does retain and maintain heat,a high heat, at medium temperature. I did like that factor. Made in did refund me a few bucks. As it gets colder here in Maryland, I'll be using it more for sauce dishes , etc. I like the high walls; that is why I ordered it to replace my 38-year-old pan. I seriously considered returning it. I'll give it a few more tries. And hopefully I'm able to update this review. But I was not happy at all. I have more than several made-in items and all have been great. Get the Dutch oven, it's grand.

It’s just a perfect pan. Well made, Well designed
Just made seared Halibut with crisp sage, butter and lemon sauce all in the same pan. This pan does a terrific sear, heats evenly and holds temp well. It weighs far less than my beloved Lodge 12”. The lighter weight and cool handle makes finishing dishes and cleanup so much easier. Acidic foods like tomatoes do erode the seasoning but I have my LeCruset collection for that. I’m very pleased with this addition to my tool box.

Carbon Steel
This is my first experience with carbon steel, but I do have a couple of cast-iron pans that I love. Responds just like my cast-iron, but heat up and cool down is quicker. I seasoned it thoroughly and now it’s one of my favorite pans.

Waited waaaay too long
I have been mulling over the purchase of a carbon steel skillet for more years than I care to admit and finally pulled the proverbial trigger. I could not be happier with my choice and genuinely wish I had done it so much earlier. I've seen a lot of comments about what a pain seasoning is but to me, it's simply a part of the cooking and clean up process. Full disclosure: I am accustomed to seasoning due to long experience with cast iron--which I love--but it's so much heavier. It's nice to have the same non-stick surface and a fraction of the weight. Good alternative to cast iron
Looking for an alternative to nonstick and easy clean up. Have used cast iron but never cared for the weight. This pan fits the bill.

Nice pan challenging to season properly I think just it takes time but a lot of cleaning with salt and oil almost every time after I use it
