Disappointed but hopeful!
The griddle is advertised as non stick but my fried eggs beg to differ. After scrubbing the food residue off the pan with the Madein care kit metal sponge, it has caused discoloration all over the pan. I tried seasoning the griddle with the company's seasoning oil in hopes that even though it is advertised as pre-seasoned, maybe another layer will help. The eggs did stick and leave residue but not as bad. On my second seasoning now and just hoping the non stick will improve!

Amazing Griddle

Fantastic
Griddle top is very well made, sturdy, and perfect size for a standard stovetop. I use it on an electric stove and it works very well. Retains heat well, easy to clean. I keep it on the stovetop all the time since we use it so often. I actually never use our cast iron pan anymore. Definitely recommend. Bought one as a Christmas gift since we liked it so much.

The Ultimate, Perfect Griddle
I've been using my Made In griddle, almost daily, for about 3 months now. I wasn't sure at first what I thought of the texture of the cooking surface. It is slightly granular; not entirely smooth, and I wondered if it would be hard to clean. But it was not so, as it cleans up very nicely. Generally I just take it off the stove-top to the sink (thanks for the handles!) to wash it off with a sponge and a dab of soap, then dry it back on the stove with a couple minutes of burner heat, followed by a wipe down with a smidgeon of vegetable oil. It's true the debris from well seared meat can require a bench scraper, but it still comes off easy. The slight granularity of the surface actually helps it season well and quickly, and really aids in the non-stick quality of the griddle. The sloped edges are a really nice feature to prevent runoff of oils and liquids – I can even pour and roll omelettes on it without losing any egg over the edge! The original equipment griddle that came with my otherwise fine range was a crummy Teflon coated thing that quickly started flaking. Ick! That had to go. My first solution was one of those steel sheets made for baking, but it was too big to stay on the stove-top when not in use, and took too long to heat up. The Made In griddle is the perfect replacement! It heats up fast and is the perfect rectangular size for the center oval burner on my stove, without hogging any of the round burners on each side, and it stays there all the time. I really could not be happier with it!
