Pilly & Shedding

First time through the wash/dry, all of the items came out very pilly. I washed them alone with no other laundry in the load. Followed the washing instructions, warm water on normal, mild detergent, and no fabric softener. Dried in a regular laundry cycle with no other laundry. When I folded the sheets, they shed like crazy. Can't recommend.

Since our flannel sheets are made from 100% cotton, some shedding is expected, especially during the initial washes, and this typically decreases over time. To minimize this, we recommend washing the sheets on a gentle cycle with cold water, and tumble drying on low heat. A fabric shaver or lint roller can also help remove any loose fibers that may appear after the first few washes. Not recommend

There is a strong chemical smell on the sheets, it smells like thousand years old egg. I wasn’t expecting this kind of quality from Macys.
