A perfect scent for a cold night.

This is one of my all time favorite colognes. It’s such a perfect blend of booze, sweet, and smoke that makes it really stand out. It doesn’t offend the nose with smoke but more so creates a warm inviting atmosphere. I’ve already finished my bottle so I’ll be getting a refill soon which the easy twist off cap makes refills hassle free.

Sweet, boozy, smoky

Sweet and boozy. This scent really reminds me of the classic jazz club/bars that you see in movies. Smoke filled air with glasses of bourbon. The sweetness come through the music. I honestly love this scent for the fall. It lasts really well, the opening is sweet, the middle is boozy, and the dry down is smoky with some vanilla. More of a mature scent not really for younger people but I think it is a sweet masculine.

Smells so good!

Smells like a warm Smokey hug! I love this scent and it's even good on my fiancé! Layers well and lasts all day! I wish they made a bigger size! But still a good bang for your buck!

Elegant mad men vibe,

It really does have a quality smell or more sort of an aura yet very elegant, and novel. It really draws a unique yet subtle attention and to me that’s quality. I will admit at first I put four out of five however this is a toilet and I should’ve gotten a perfume. I know the difference so I suppose it is worth it in those nice situations. Don’t just be spraying it like it’s Coach.

Never again

Disgusting!! Waste of a sample for me!! The smell triggered me in the worse way and it just overall does not smell good. The tobacco note is way too strong and nauseating. Not comforting at all. I got rid of it immediately but the scent lingered in the worse way. Stay away from this unless you like the smell of strong cigars.

Jazz Club: Rum Gone Wrong on My Skin

Maison Margiela Jazz Club is a 2 out of 5 for me, and it surprised me because I expected to love the whole smoky bar vibe. On paper the notes sound perfect, but on my skin the combination turns the rum accord sour and kind of off putting, like the sweetness curdled into something sharp and funky. The opening starts promising with that boozy warmth, but pretty quickly the rum note takes a weird turn and stays front and center. Instead of smooth and cozy, it reads more like a harsh, sour spill that never fully blends back in. The tobacco and woods try to ground it, but the off rum effect keeps poking through the whole wear. Performance is fine, it lasts and it projects enough, but that does not help when the main vibe is not working for me. It becomes a scrubber situation, or at least something I would only ever test again in cold air to see if it behaves differently. Overall, Jazz Club is a miss on my skin. If you get a smooth rum tobacco experience, I get rum that goes sour and throws the whole scent off.

Lasting impression
