Marmot Convertible Pants for the Win

Great looking pants with inconsitent sizing

I really like the pants and style but Marmot's sizing is completely inconsistent, which is the reason I am rating them, as 3. If you find a size that works for you, they are great pants. The cut of the pants are straight leg, more of an athletic cut. I have an athletic build and generally wear a loose fit size 32 with a belt. I may need to wear a larger size for my legs if a pant leg is cut on the skinnier side. Since this is the first time I have bought Arch Rock convertible pants, I purchased multiple sizes to make sure I got the best fit. I purchased a 32 & 34 in Shetland and 32 & 34 in Steel. In the Shetland, in size 32 the waste was ok (didn't need a belt)) but really tight in the legs, in size 34 the pants were huge all over, felt like wearing clown pants. In the Steel, in size 32, the waste was good, still I need a belt, legs a little tight but wearable. In size 34, I definitely need to wear a belt, but the legs fit great. Overall, I like these pants, but they have extremely inconsistencies sizing. I ended up returning both Shetland but kept the Steel in 32 and 34 as both sizes fit me.

Size

Theses pants are super cute. But they are to small and the material is not what I had expected. Wish the material was different but I do like that it has a zipper to make them into shorts

Cute but not comfortable

Fit was off and material isn’t very comfortable. They are nice looking and the zip off bottoms are cook, just not great for me. I ordered my normal size and they were still a bit too snug.

Very thin

The pants fit a little on the tighter side. They were comfortable but much thinner than i was expecting. Made the pants lighter and being able to make them into shorts proved to be a very versatile choice.
