GREAT WITH TV

Great sound! Great look! Someone who has been in a band for decades told me I be a lot better with Marshall Stanmore speaker than a sound bar, anyway, he said all the sound bars he had only last a few years. I LOVE IT!!!!! i use it without my Sony TV also. Goes great with the furniture my father made me. BEAUTIFUL SOUND. I am not a poet so it is hard for me to tell how it sounds. Clear and crisp. I do not see why anyone would need anything any louder - i can hear it just fine in my whole house. I have a Bose Wave radio that is about 33 years old (now takes about 15 mins to warm up after you turn it on) that is good just different, Bose is plain looking with its own clear sound. I like the sound of both Bose and Marshall. To me Bose does not have a crisp sound like you hear at a music concert like Marshall. Again I love it and I can be picky. Happy I did my research and wish I could give it 100 plus 1 stars. With the name Marshall I know the Stanmore speaker will be around for decades.

Only one real issue

The Stanmore II is a great speaker, but if you already have an Acton 1 or Stanmore 1, the new II series feels like a minor downgrade. Sound-wise, the original Gen 1 sounds better, better bass range and crisper highs. But, the best thing about the Gen 1 Series was Standby/Eco switch on the back. If you left it in standby mode it was ALWAYS connected to your device (in my case, my Apple TV). The Gen 2 doesn't have this, so it automatically shuts-down after some minutes which is annoying, especially if you'd only paused the movie or music to take a call. You then have to jump through all the hoops to re-connect. The Gen 1 felt like it was slightly better quality overall, although I will concede the front grill fabric on the new Gen II's looks a lot better.

Color

Because of the color, all photos you show in website, on the box it looks like yellow gold details, but in reality it is rose gold, its is light pink. So it is 2 different colors.
