Miss leading product description

martha stewart 2-qt enameled cast iron heart dutch oven is not recommended for 500 degree temp.as stated on website. Literature inside the box states it is only rated for low and medium heat cooking.

Hi Renee, I am sorry for your experience. Please allow me to provide further clarification on this warning. The casserole is oven safe up to 500F. However, on our care/caution cards, we do recommend that for stove top use that you use a low to medium heat (flame). To cook, you actually do not need to use high flame. The high flame can get so hot, upwards of 900F. And this cookware conducts the heat so well, that you only really need low to medium. Hope this is more helpful.
