ALMOST a keeper

First, they’re not as brown as the picture looks. They’re more beige, but that’s not the problem. The middle sized one which is perfect for coffee and the reason I bought it has a seal that doesn’t quite close the lid. There’s an ever so slight gap. And the seal itself moves around and the grooves are different in places. On half of the lid on the one container, the seal is smooshed and since it’s rubber, it’s been smooshed into place as less wide. The result is that ever so slight gap, which I think will increase in time. I guess I could use them for something other than coffee that doesn’t require quite a perfect airtight seal, like beans. But I bought it specifically to use that middle one as a coffee canister. It’s a shame because they’re really beautiful and they would be lovely in my kitchen.
