Sturdy but leaks

I purchased this glass kettle to replace one made of plastic. I was initially pleased because it's sturdy and boiled water fairly quickly. However, it leaks. I don't want just boiled water dripping onto my hands and the countertop. So two stars for looks.

Don't buy Mega Chef Electric Kettle

I will never buy this product again. I purchased the mega Chef electric kettle in July. it worked great until a few weeks ago when I noticed the button to open the lid would not allow the lid to close without wiggling the button. Then last week the automatic shutoff would not shut off causing the water to continue to boil. I tried to manually turn off the button but steam was coming out the button and the handle was so hot, I burnt my hand. This is a safety hazard!

Simplicity at its Best !!!

I’ve had this kettle for 2 weeks now and I love it… Not only does it look nice on the kitchen counter with its blue illuminating light while it’s on , it boils water in No time at all. The best feature is the automatic shut off. With so many things going on in life that can distract you, this safety feature is a MUST ! 2 buttons - that’s it. One to turn on and 1 to open. Simple . No Fuss.. Get it!
