Fit is a bit off.

I really wanted to like this coat, as it looks cool and is a bit different than your typical top coat. It ran small to me. I bought 40L, my typical suit coat size (6'2" 180), and it was pretty snug for a "classic fit". Both in the waist and in the shoulders. I bought a 40L coat in another brand at the same time as this one, and that fit perfectly. As another reviewer noted, the pattern does not have as much contrast between the light and dark colors like the website pictures seem to depict. The coat is darker overall and the light colors do not stand out as much. A knock against this coat is that it only has front flap pockets, which are small as another reviewer noted, and it does not have slant pockets at the sides for your hands. My last observation is that the coat kind of fits or hangs like a robe. You might be able to see what I mean from the website pics. Maybe it's just a cut that I am not used to. The coat is otherwise nice in material, feel, and construction, with a nice pattern despite not quite matching the pictures. It is not heavy in my opinion, and I would want a few layers to wear this on a cold night in winter. I still say give it shot; it will stand out.

Attractive coat

The coat is pleasing to the eye. It runs slightly small and by no means a heavy winter coat. I do like it, I do wish the pockets were bigger, extremely small, can barely cram a small glove in a pocket.

Obsessed

I have been on the hunt for a plaid wool overcoat for years! I am 6’4”, muscular, and my shoulders are broad. The 48L fits me impeccably. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase and love how versatile this coat will be during the cooler months here in Ohio.

Great fit, not too warm

Great design, although the overcoat is not as contrasty as it looks in the photographs. My chest is 39 inches and the 36R fit me snugly when worn over a shirt and a pullover sweater.
