The stock photos and official description on the MVMT website that claims the Legacy in Panther Black has an "all-black colorway" and "Black Hands & Markers" is incorrect in that the brand logo, hands and hour marks on the dial are all silver-colored rather than black, which would give the watch a more sophisticated monochromatic look. This watch weighs in at 1.45 oz. meaning it's comfortable to wear, but might be considered a downside because the lack of weight could make the watch not feel luxe enough for some.
The back of the case indicates the watch is water resistant (3 bar), has Japan movement, with a genuine leather wrist strap made in China; the buckle/tongue are black stainless steel, rather than plastic, which is a nice detail. The leather itself feels soft and pliable but the back of the wrist strap isn't totally dyed black, giving it the appearance of having an unfinished side, which detracts from the sleek design.
The Legacy has an overall length of 245mm, which is standard for men's watches. But, aesthetically, the combination of ultra-thin bezel and diameter of the crystal is slightly too wide for the slim 20mm strap, which isn't related to the wearer, as I've tried to show in my review photos: the 42mm case (46mm lug to lug) seems oversized across a wide range of wrist sizes.
This low-profile watch is a good option for someone looking for a relatively affordable watch with an understated style and slightly better than average quality but isn't expecting the heft that comes from a more premium quality model with a stainless steel strap.
