Transformative

One of the best health-related purchases I have ever made and I've been a triathlete for over 38 years (and have purchased several bike trainers, treadmills and bikes over that timespan). As a 52 year-old triathlon competitive age-group triathlete, most of my cycling sessions are done on a trainer early mornings. This indoor trainer and iFit programming is transformative. I find myself looking forward to more indoor cycling sessions, listening to the various trainers and locations where they film the rides. Time flies by with the iFit trainer, music and scenic rides as the bike responds to elevation, allowing you to shift and adjust the ride as if you were cycling outdoors. Our 22 year-old son has put in more miles than I have as a beginner cyclist and his cycling fitness has skyrocketed. Many of the iFit trainers are former professional cyclists and it's interesting to hear their personal stories as they coach you through the session. It integrates into Strava well (and Fuelin). I used to simply hop on the trainer and watch TV or movies over streaming apps but the dynamic nature of this trainer is next-level. Interestingly, I usually don't do well with "4-D" or fake motion movies with amusement park rides or Peloton, etc. But, the camera-work on iFit for these rides is not static as they are filming the trainer as he or she rides. So, no motion sickness or issues there. Setting it up was rather straightforward. Setting up shifting can mimic your bike(s) to allow for a more natural indoor cycling and shifting experience. Only complaint I have is the built-in fans should be adjustable directionally and not just fan intensity as they tend to provide airflow only in one direction which is at your chest or belly if you are not in a more aero position on the bars or hoods.
