Disappointing Shaver

I am disappointed with this shaver. A lot of money spent on a shaver which I consider was not designed correctly. The rotating cutting blades' foils have a large amount of metal surface around the circumference of the foils. As a result, one is unable to shave the upper lip, near to the nose. Who would have ever thought up this poorly designed shaver head? I have come from a different brand of shaver, which had a built in trimmer feature, which was useful to trim the stray hair and nose hairs. I am missing this feature with the Philips shaver. It is a fiddly process to remove the cutting blades from the foils in order to clean the shaver. This shaver does not give me a close shave; even after several weeks, thinking it might have needed time to "settle in" to my face and shaving style.

Best shaver on the market by a mile

I have almost always owned a Philips Shaver. I deviated from this brand after my previous Philips was so old parts were no longer compatible. I was cajoled into buying a different brand with which I was desperately disappointed. I have now bought the S9000 Prestige and it honestly is that far ahead of the other brand in quality, quietness, smoothness and every feature any man would be looking for. I recommend it highly.

It is a terrific razor!

Very nice razor with the closest shave I've ever had with electric/battery razor from Norelco! The only thing I don't like is the travel bag. It looks like a generic, instead of having one made especially for this premium razor. I also like the cleaning container to put it in after every shave. I did find I had to remove it from the container when I got to bed so it will be dry the next morning when I shave.
