The plates chipped

I bought this 4 place setting a few months back. The plates have chipped in the wide band area. I have the raspberry coupe in 10 place settings and have not had this problem. Disappointed.

Outstanding quality

I've used my Colorware dishes for over 8 years, and the quality is outstanding. I love that the dishes are dishwasher safe, durable and with daily use, no marks remain on them. The raspberry dishes are a festive color, and bright for year-round use as well - I receive a lot of compliments!

Great Quality

We have used Noritake dishes since our wedding in 1995 (pattern Ignition). I wanted to change design or color. We are now purchasing the Colorwave Collection in raspberry (pattern 8045). I love them! Still great quality. The sturdiness of the dish is nice. I hope these last as long as our first set.

Long lasting, still vibrant!

We got the colorwave pattern as our everyday settings when we got married in 2003. In 2020, we had to replace some items that had been broken over the years. While we were concerned about dye lots and the like, the colors held up well and after a few months of use, we can't tell which are the new pieces and which are the old!

Holiday Pieces

This review is specific to the holiday pieces. We have a large number of Colorwave Graphite and Turquoise pieces for continuous daily use. The holiday pieces are really attractive, but I was surprised to find out that the holiday design is painted on top of the glaze, instead of baked into it. We have several pieces of the Colorwave "floral" bowls and plates and the decorations appear to be baked in on all of those, and of course the "Bloom" design is also in the glaze. It's possible the holiday pattern decorations will prove to have decent longevity, but since they're raised above the glaze, and have a matte finish to the touch, I can't imagine they'll survive nearly as long as the plates and mugs themselves. We'll only use these for about a month each year so maybe they'll have a long life, but it's disappointing the pattern isn't in the glaze.

Great choice!

When we needed casual dishes, we zeroed in on this pattern. We love them! And they are not just for casual use--good enough for any dinner party. Love the color too!

Add more covered casseroles

I love my square raspberry dishes. I got tired of “busy” Fiesta dishes and wanted a “calmer” more elegant dish. I DO miss the great variety of dishes that Fiesta offered. I only find 1 covered, 2 quart casserole dish to match my raspberry dishes. Also, the 3 serving dishes I have are too large for small families. Please, Noritake, add some smaller sized COVERED serving/bakeware pieces!

Oval platter

The 16" oval platter is way too big. It is heavy and bulky when meat is placed on it and becomes too heavy to pass. I wish there was a 13-13 1/2" version like I had with my old dishes.
