Beautiful Teapot

Looks beautiful, and very functional

Cheapo quality is immediately evident

The wooden strip in the handle doesn't quite meet the metal ends, first clue of how cheaply this was made. Well, perhaps the extreme lightweight of the item is the first clue. It's thicker than aluminum foil, but not by much. I do think I could poke a thumb through it if I wanted to. And the spout was attached carelessly so that it appears to be centered but when you pull the lever to open it it opens at what is very obviously a random angle to make it very obvious to your guests that you cheaped out on this item. I bought this without the benefit of any reviews, but discovered the reviews of the same product sold here in different colors. Apparently I have internal and external discoloration to look forward to after a week or two of use. I was so looking forward to this arriving and now I think it's going right back to Macy's. Macy's, if you're reading this, this shouldn't happen. You should apply some QC standards to the products you sell on your site.
