Awesome Sound!

I've been using the 7100 for 2 months almost everyday. It never fails to amaze me how awesome it sounds for music and movies. I have a 5.1.4 speaker setup and the 7100 doesn't disappoint. I have not experienced any issues and hoping to keep this AV receiver for many years.

Sounds Great!

About a year ago, I replaced my 8 year old Onkyo with the TX-NR7100 and the significant advancements in technology are obvious. My room is not paticularly large 12' x 15'. Whether it is music or movies, it makes my MartinLogans put a smile on my face.

Onkyo TXNR7100 my personal opinion

I had a Onkyo TXNR 797 that suffered a lightning strike fried my HDMI inputs so I had no other choice but to replace my receiver I chose the Onkyo TXNR7100 so far I’m completely satisfied it’s a marvel especially with the DIRAC calibration feature this item definitely serves me well this is my third Onkyo A/V receiver

Decent for movies

The receiver seems under powered and has to be turned up so high to play music it causes distortion. It’s good for movies, but only fair for music if you like it loud.

You....REALLY NEED to GET THIS RECIEVER!

I scored a pair of Klipsch R26FA's for a GREAT DEAL....so I needed an upgrade from my 10 y/o Sony 7.2 receiver Researched the Onkyo 7100 ( Price, functions, scalability, etc..) CLEAR and STRONG power for Home Theater (100WPC, zone speaker config, )?..Check!... ALL speaker configurations up to 9.2? Check! Dolby Atmos?..Check!...DTS?..Check!...Wi-Fi?..Check!..Bluetooth streaming?..Check! THX, HDR10, 8k up-scaling,ready for ALL gaming platforms?...Check, Check, Check AND check! Did I mention BUILT IN STREAMING APPS?!? SERIOUSLY....You NEED TO GET THIS RECEIVER!!!

Not real impressed with this receiver,not worth the price I paid for it.the surround sound is more detailed but making my 15 inch floor speakers distort.had the onyko 777 it was great but had to update
