Issue with battery

I bought the IQ in 2021. Worked well until a month ago when it stopped working. The toothbrush is in full charge but the battery does not even last for one brush. Very disappointed to have paid that amount of money for just one year of use.

Charging stand

This is my second Oral B, my last one lasted for almost 15 years. It just stopped charging so I got another one hoping it lasts as long. Easy to handle. The charging stand is small and does not take up much space on my counter. I have sensitive gums, toothbrushes are soft. I just love it.

Great toothbrush.

Up grade from pro 2 2500 to genius 9600 I can tell the different from first time use very impressed and glad I get this . In the future would like to try series 9 waiting for the right price.

Great features, behind in some areas.

After a year of usage I can say the following: -On the outside: 1) The stainless steel used where the brushes sit seems to rust. That means what ever stainless steel Oral B is using is not Grade A. The base of the handle gets brown mold or stain. Nothing on earth seems to be able to get it off. These 2 points makes you wonder if Oral B doesn't recognize wgat calcified water can do. Why didn't they use different materials!? 2) The base itself seems to get greenish stuff especially where the cord attaches to it. Again very weird you have to keep on cleaning. My wife uses a different brand and doesn't have any of these problems. -On Functionality: 1) Someone in Oral B thought that you can not change the mode you are using unless the brush is turned on. Meaning that if you put your toothpaste and then you remember you want to change the mode have fun. The toothpaste will be every where, unless of course you remove the brush. Not convenient. 2) The battery lasts good 2 weeks, BUT that's based on once a day usage on the non plus mode. More on that later. 3) Using the app with bluetooth is very annoying. You have to be in a certain range for it to function. Unless there is a camera in the brush this function might not appeal to a lot of people. Setting up the app and connection was easy. -On oral hygiene: 1) After 6 months of usage I went to my dentist. She found no problems at all. I didn't tell her I switched to an electric toothbrush. I wanted to see if she would say something about my teeth, if they for instance not where they need to be. since everything seems to be right I can say it's working well. 2) Plus mode is used once a week. 3) The brush itself is used once at night only. I found that electric brushes do not give the same freshness as manual ones. My son who uses a far much lower brand than Oral B found the same thing, also my wife who uses an equivalent brand. 4) I used to not floss. Since I started using the electric brush flossing became a necessity. The manual brush ses to have the ability to penetrate better between the teeth especially that it's not round shaped. 5) When I saw the round brush shape I was afraid it won't work as it should. I was mistaken. Once you get use to it, you wonder how come the other brands are not using the same shape! Still not for the morning. Over all the brush is great and does very good job in cleaning the teeth. Oral B needs to change the rubber used on the bottom of the brush, make the base not attract water dirt and allow mode change while it's turned off.

Mixed

I was very unhappy with the durability of my previous Oral-B toothbrush and seriously considered buying something else. In the end I got the Genius 9600 because I liked the way it cleaned my teeth. The previous Oral-B toothbrush had materials on the handle that wore off. Also, I could not replace the battery when it would not hold the charge for long and the charger worked intermittently. With the new model I can't replace the battery either.

Not syncing all the time

Waste of money. Almost all the time this brush not syncing with app and therefore no usage of the app. trouble customer service. A new brush with such an expensive price is not working no matter what I did. speaking to a Oral B representative, spend 45 minutes going back and forth with their IT department trying to verify and resolve the issue. At the end of 50 minutes, I was told that the technical issue is not under warranty and can't replace or get my money back. Very disappointing.
