Second time buying - I love this pack!
I first bought this backpack in 2018, and it traveled the world with me. I'm a field researcher who needed a hybrid solution between an outdoor pack and a carry-on size travel pack. I was able to fit a decent amount of equipment, electronics, clothes, and travel gear in this bag, and I was always surprised at how the bag seemed to infinitely expand to fit more. Even after 7 years, the bag was still going strong, but the interior liner began to delaminate. I sent the bag to Osprey to get it replaced under the company's incredible warranty program, and within 2 weeks I received the newest version of this pack. I have several (over 20) backpacks and am a bit of a backpack snob, and in my opinion there are very few bags in the market that come close to the Nebula in terms of striking a balance between capacity (and smart use of space), versatility, price, quality, and comfort. Pros: 1) comfort of straps, 2) mesh front and side compartments are deep and really expand the capacity of the bag in a useful way, 3) laptop compartment is structured and roomy, which makes it great for paper documents as well as multiple laptops/tablets, 4) design balances professional/travel/outdoorsy styles unlike previous versions, which seemed more outdoorsy, 5) pack can be as expanded or compressed as much as the user wants, which makes it more versatile, 6) SO many organizational pockets. Cons: 1) I'm only 5'1, so for me the size is a bit too bulky for everyday carry, 2) there are no longer attachment points on the front of the bag (except for the light attachment), which slightly limits the use of the bag in my opinion, 3) still no trolley sleeve, although the top handle can act as one if your luggage handle is the right size, 4) it's okay for the outdoors, but it's lacking features that would make it heavy duty, such as a reinforced bottom and more water resistance (it doesn't have to be waterproof, but the hydration pack hole could easily let water into the laptop compartment). I've noticed that some users don't like that if you clip the straps that secure the front shove it pocket, you can't fully access the other compartments. I personally didn't find that to be an issue, as I either just don't clip the straps or simply insert/remove contents with limited lateral space (which isn't a problem for me).

I have used the Nebula
I have used the Nebula for about two weeks now. The durable material and quality zippers give the bag a very nice look and feel. The breathable material against one's upper back and on the straps helps provide comfort. The small non-scratch pocket is great. There are three deep pockets to give you plenty of space not including the stow away pocket on the front. I have not yet come close to filling up a pocket. Despite my 5-star rating there are two items I find disappointing. One: the clips at the top of the pack get in the way of the zipper track for the deep pocket meant to hold your laptop making it difficult to easily open that pocket. Two: the organizer area is very small and does not have room for much. As a result I have a mini mag light, guitar capo, watch charger, and power bank just loose in a deep pocket. My recommendation to Osprey would be to add another few spots in the organizer and to have pockets on the organizer deep enough to hold something like a Texas Instruments calculator (TI-83, TI-84, etc. ). Overall it's a fantastic pack. I highly recommend it and would buy it again.

The style and functionality of
The style and functionality of the bag is great and I wanted it to work out so bad. The location of the upper clips became a nuisance and I couldn’t hide them like other Nebula I have owned for 5 years. I even thought of cutting them off, but they are incorporated into the bag and assist with attaching the outer pocket to the rest of the backpack . Every time I would need to access the bag the clips were in the way. I had to return the bag and looking for another one. Love your product and will continue to purchase them, this bag just didn’t work for me.

This one is a replacement
This one is a replacement for the first one that went off to college and was put to every test known to 18-year-old sensibilities. Back in action thanks to the AMG, love the pack, love the look, and love that it will go back to college. Plenty of space, and room with a laptop pocket, what's not to like?

Just returned from a wild
Just returned from a wild adventure in Mexico with my Osprey Nebula backpack, and let me tell you, it was an experience that deserves a review as colorful as the streets of Oaxaca!
