Love the bag, but didn’t wasn’t check-in tough

I am a little disappointed with this product. I decided to replace my last Sandinista travel case (I had it 18yrs) as it was old, but it was my trusty companion on all my travels. I travel a lot. I had to go to home to Ireland last week and I always love to travel light (hence size I travel with) The airline checked in my bag on both flights over and back. I travel home 3-4 times a year. It’s my 1st time using a ‘hard shell’ case and I very disappointed on how much wear and tear the 2 flights had on the case. The case is all scuffed and scratched and looks like it’s about 5yrs of travel on it instead of a return flight to Ireland. I was sad when I seen the state of it. Maybe it’s my fault as it’s a carry on size bag, but I do think it should also be able to withstand Check-in. The wear and tear it sustained on its 1st travel outing really disappointed me. I never right bad reviews, I don’t like to send negative feedback, but I do travel extensively and lightly and I was looking forward to this case being my trusty travel companion.
