Won't Stay Lit

The fire pit is beautiful and visually everything we had hoped, however, on the second use the fire pit would not stay lit and each subsequent use. We have had to lean a cement block up against the fuel knob to keep the fire lit until it gets hot. Only when the fire pit has been heating and on for about an hour will it stay lit without keeping the button pushed in.
