Okay meat thermometer

It's very user friendly and seems to do a good job registering the temp. I wish the alert that the meat has reached desired temp was louder, it's barely audible.

I bought this themomether for Thanksgiving and it broke the same day I used it.

Works Great!

Works perfect! It is a little bigger than the standard thermometer but the cord wraps around it making it really compact for storage.

A Real Upgrade

We used to be one of those with the old dial and probe that stabbed into the meat for the temp. It either was inaccurate or did not work. We had heard the digital was the way to go but had to get completely frustrated with the old version to make the upgrade. The results were great this Xmas. We used it multiple times and it was 'spot on' every time leading to the desired cooking result. If you have not made the upgrade- don't wait!

Thanksgiving and Christmas were saved

I had been relying on pop-up thermometers in the turkeys each holiday season. I finally bought a real thermometer. This unit sits on top of the stove and the cable threads between the oven door and wall. There is a USDA and a chef temperature settings preprogrammed for various meats including turkey and beef roasts. The thermometer makes an audible sound when the meat is within 10 degrees of the target temperature and sounds again when the temperature is reached. Thanksgiving and Christmas turkeys came out perfectly. The probe and wire wraps up neatly in the unit when not in use. I highly recommend this thermometer.
