Great bag, what to do

I absolutely ADORE this bag- I bought 2 one for a gift, but I’ve noticed they are flaking really badly. Is that part of the distressing and is there anything in do?

Best little evening bag!

Love everything about this little evening bag! It's the perfect size for an evening out - even room for my eyeglass case! The metallic gold is lovely - not too bright, not too dull, just right! The clasp is very sturdy and had no problems keeping the bag closed.
