this product had a poor finish
I have had 3 Phlips airfryers . Very happy with the way they cook but this particular one the coating has started to peel from the bottom of the basket so didnt like using it. So I purchased the HD9742/93.

Regarding the coating peeling from the bottom of the basket, we completely understand why this might have been alarming. Some spots can appear inside the pan or basket of your Airfryer due to incidental scratching or touching of the coating (e.g. during cleaning and/or while inserting the basket). This is not harmful in any way as all materials used in your Philips Airfryer are food safe. Still, to prevent this, we suggest cleaning the pan and basket of the Airfryer with hot water and washing-up liquid, always using a soft sponge, and making sure to insert the basket gently at all times. Please note that this spotting on the bottom of the basket is not specific to your previous Airfryer, but may happen with every one of our models (including your current one). Just right for fast, easy, grabs for evening snack
It's an easy to use, convenient and fast cooking option for evening snacks - fries, wedges or burger. Fill it, shut it, turn on and come back to have it. Washing is a bit cumbersome. Cleaning is easy inside of it. Handle connects could have been better finish to avoid any gaps where the food or insects/ants might make their way into. I wish it had an indicator digital to know the temperature settings and timer.

Very pleased
This is a very useful Airfryer and is very versatile. The size is perfect for 2 of us, but I would require a larger size for a family. I bought a rack/shelf which improves it’s versatility and it’s very easy to wash. My only grumble is that the non-stick coating is coming off the grid. I sometimes put it in the dishwasher but mainly wash by hand using a cloth suitable for non-stick items. It steams fish exceptionally well, heats up naans. The app is very useful too. I wouldn’t be without it.
