Professional Series Deli Meat Slicer

the slicer is poorly designed. It has plastic gears and that is what broke on my inexpensive previous Rival slicer. This slicer has more power but you can't really tell that it does. My rival slicer was made so that a plate could be placed under the slicer and meat fell onto the plate. This slicer works poorly when cutting a full ham. Difficult to keep the slices even and a lot of shredded meat collects under the blade and on the slicer. I almost broke the knob that holds the blade in place because it turns opposite direction of what you would expect. Difficult to clean since not all parts can be removed . Regret making this purchase
