We absolutely love this silverware. It's beautiful, stylish, and great quality. We even get compliments on it which is a rare thing, I would think, for one's silverware. We registered for this for our wedding and have bought more since. Great buy.

They are sturdy and deep enough to scoop soup. On my wish list is a larger set of Barton's flatware, and I will consider it when there is a huge sale.

7 years agoSimple yet Elegant
I've used Reed and Barton for decades. I love the weight of the handles, especially the heavyness of the knife. With their many varieties of patterns, one can't go wrong. I use daily and place in the dishwasher and as usual, the product remains in fine condition. I did notice since my last pattern purchase over 25 years ago, which was washed down stream during the Nashville flood of 2010, MADE IN CHINA.

Love these!
I really like the look of this flatware. It is definitely sturdy and I like the weight. It's not too heavy but it also doesn't feel like it is going to bend if you put a little pressure on the knife or the spoon. I read a couple of reviews that thought the smaller neck of the flatware (on the spoons and forks) seemed weak but I don't notice that. I have used them with my nicer plates and my day to day dishes and I think they look great both ways.

I purchased 3 sets and all three were nice but this set outdid the other two. Great for a house full of boys.

9 years agotoo thin and lightweight
Regrettably, I had to return this flatware. My daughter had received a set in 2009 for her wedding, and I love, love her set. So, when I ordered the same thing in 2016, imagine my surprise to find the quality was half as good as 2009. I thought they sent me the wrong order. Regrettably and without hesitation, I returned the set.

I bought these and they are very lovely, if you are looking for medium weight, stop looking, you have found what you are looking for! I did think they were going to be a more hefty feel. So won't work for me, but these are lovely.
