Same great boot

I have had the same pair for over 10 years and was afraid they didn't offer the same boot. I was happy see they still made it but worried they had changed it and wasn't as good. I'm happy to say after a couple weeks I can say they are great and probably should have replaced my old one's years ago!

Rocky Arctic BearClaw Boots

These boots are manufactured with the following features: 1.) High Quality Leather and Soles. 2.) GORE-TEX Water Proof material / 1400g insulated. 3.) Robust Aggressive Boot Tread. I treated the leather portion of the boot with both Obenauf’s Oil and Leather Preservative (LP) boot paste. The Camo was treated with a Silicone Water Proof Solution. Great Price Point with Excellent Value!

Dry rot!

Well, i got a few years out of them. I bought them to elk hunt in Colorado in 2002. Only wore them in cold cold weather as they get your feet hot in just plain cool and cold weather. So they work. Five years ago i got sick and stopped hunting as much, and i put them in the bottom of my closet waiting formthe next snowfall. Havent had snow or cold cold weather in five years. Headed to Buffalo NY for a Bills game in January, so i pulled them out. The rubber sole have rotted and turned to crumbles…..what the heck? Ive never seen boot soles do that. Ive got other pairs of boots ive had for ten to twenty years and they are still great. Why would they crumble. Five sarts for effectivenes, four for fit, as they were always a tight fit, but only three stars overall, cause why did they dry rot in my closet over the last five years?

Best Insulated Boot I've Ever Had!

This is the first time I've purchased boots without trying them on, but I couldn't find what I wanted locally, which was a boot with over 1000g of insulation for deer season. The boots arrived in a timely manner. But.... they wouldn't fit. Every shoe and boot I own are sized 9-1/2 Regular. So that's what I ordered. But when I put these boots on they were SO tight with regular socks even before lacing them up. I reached out to customer service and made arrangements for an exchange. Same boot, but in a 10 Wide. Having worked in customer service before I always have high expectations, and am often let down in this type of situation. This was the exception. Rocky delivered the BEST customer service I've had in decades. Even before I shipped by boots away for the exchange I'd already decided they had me as a customer for life if their product was half as good as I expected. The replacement boots came MUCH faster than the expectation they'd set, which made me like them even more. I tried the boots on with heavy socks and they fit PERFECTLY! They felt a bit clunky because of their bulk, but after 10 minutes of walking around the house I was completely used to the feel, and my feet were hot! So I wore them hunting. Before these I had to wear overboots with hothands in them and my feet down inside my backpack to be comfortable when the temps were in the 20's. I left my overboots at home. After sitting in a blind for 4 hours in 25°F temps my toes STARTED to get a little cold. A few minutes of isometrics got the blood pumping, and they were comfortable again for a few more hours. God willing, I will never wear another brand. My experience start to finish was simple, and exceeded all my expectations!
