Made of brown full-grain leather and 900-denier nylon, this 17-inch boot has the height and toughness you want. The nylon features Realtree Xtra camouflage, making it a great hunting boot. In addition to snake protection, you get water protection with this footwear. Made with Rocky Waterproof construction, this is guaranteed to be a waterproof boot. Walk through mud and water you're covered in this waterproof snake boot. You'll find this to be a surprisingly comfortable snake boot, too. An EnergyBed footbed returns energy with each step while the memory foam will form to your foot. The men's boot lining is moisture-wicking to fight sweat. A nylon shank supports your arch.

Leaks badly

I own a pair of these both pair started leaking within 2 months. Definitely will not get a 3rd. Boots has a leaking flaw.

Rocky Snake Proof Boots are Great !!!

These boots really do the job with preventing snake bites from getting to your legs, ankles, or feet and they are really comfortable. We wear them on our Farm year round as we get support for ankles and they are comfortable. We Highly recommend these boots for everyone.

Long lasting boots

I bought these boots about 8 years ago. I have about 50 miles on them and they are still doing good. They only thing I added was some good insoles for long hikes. I definitely recommend these to anyone.

Very comfortable.

Purchased these about 3 weeks ago to replace and aging pair of lace-up snake boots. After weighing all features in several brands, I settled on the Retractions. These are light and required almost no break-in period. They run true to size as I normally wear 11W and that's what I ordered. Fit great. Zippers are YK2 brand metal. I am satisfied with fitment and quality. So far, the waterproofing is untested, but I expect Rocky to honor the 1-year warranty if that becomes an issue.

Zippers are useless

This is a great boot however the plastic zippers on the side are almost impossible to zip. So I just leave them unzipped and use the Velcro on the boot top to secure them around my legs.

Needs improvement

These might be great snake boots, but the lining flap is to close to the zipper. My zipper got stuck in that flap and was impossible to get unstuck. Also the zipper is to stiff. It’s hard zippering up and down. Lastly, the calf area should be wider. It’s to thin and I’m not fat.
