Dependable Rocky construction.

It is well made. Sturdy. Safety oriented. Thus a difficult break-in time. I can't wear them. Likely going to Goodwill.

The tongues ruin an otherwise great boot

I bought a pair of Rocky steel toes a few years ago and they way longer than any other brand I've had previously and they were super comfortable. I got these instead because I liked the idea of the metatarsal guards. For the most part I'd say they match up to the other pair I had, except for one EXTREMELY annoying issue, the tongues on the boots. The tongues will not stay flush with my foot and it causes my pant legs to get caught if I sit down or stretch my legs for any reason. It is infuriating. I wish I went with the original boots that I had before, they were slightly taller but had an extra shoestring ring that I'm sure is what made the difference between them

Fits well, metatarsal guard works but causes a lit

The boots in basic fit well and are comfortable.I have a little trouble with the metatarsal guard hitting my foot just wrong. I was able to mitigate this by skipping the first quick lace eye and just tieing at the top. I have a bump on my left foot that apparently is a misalignment of my metatarsals. For that boot I actually have to run the laces behind the tongue and then on the top like the right foot. Did have a dead blow hammer drop behind the safety toe area and hardly felt it.

They work

Not a fan of the way they look. I miss my old boots but needed metguard boots quick. They're super light and comfortable so they're starting to grow on me.
